The Charisma of Hitler
After watching one of his Nuremberg rallies (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yf6_zKLbykQ), I saw the charisma put on display by Hitler that is somewhat lacking in the politicians of today. His passion and way with words are not the only imposing and impressive feats of his rallies. The immense size of the venue, of the location and the crowds, was an imposing sight, along with all the men in uniform and the youth, which symbolized a Nazi future. The most imposing sight to me, however, was the manner in which is followers saluted him. The sheer number of cheers and hands showed just how dedicated the German people were to his cause and just how skilled Hitler was in presenting it to them. Hitler, as he often does, starts slowly and picks up speed and intensity as he goes. By the time he is finished, he has been yelling at the top of his lungs and the crowd is giving him a standing ovation. Although the results of Hitler's charisma were not admirable, it is fascinating to witness him in action.

Yes, Hitler was a very inspiring speaker, I wonder what would have resulted if this seemingly unimportant detail wasn't one of his characteristics. After all, too commit genocide, the support of the people is needed. Hitler's speeches and his presentation of them certainly accomplished that. The truth about war is that it is the little things that matter, such as if Winston Churchill, had been killed when a car hit him instead of being wounded or if Hitler had listened to his generals and not created a two-front war,the Nazis might have won World War 2. When you look closely at a war, it is usually the characteristics of the leader that decide the outcome so qualities, such as being a great public speaker or a tactician decided who won World War 2.

I was always a bit fascinated with Hitler, not because of his view but because of his amazing ability to deliver a speech which rallies in many of his supporters. His speeches are powerful and even stirs up a foreign emotions in those who oppose him. He was a brilliant speech and tactician. I think a large part of his success, if not all was due to his public speech abilities. He possessed the characteristics of a great leader, and one cannot help but support his cause. Hitler was able to gain the support of the people, and to me that's extremely impressive. It often frightens me how Hitler can accomplish something so horrific. I still am afraid of myself because I found myself to be almost a "victim" of Hitler's speeches. Hitler's ability is terrifying yet it's such a amazing and powerful ability to witness.
