Language
In the movie we watched on friday there was a quote that got me thinking. It went something like, "terrorists do not have faces instead they use death as their language." (This isn't exactly what they said, but its close.) I find this very interesting because it proves that the only emotion that terrorists can provoke from people is fear or anger. They do not gain acknowledgement (which I believe is what they desire) by talking with people, going on traditional political campaigns, or expressing their ideas in a rational manner; such as magazines, peaceful rallies and meetings, etc. They gain it by killing to prove this is how powerful we are. This makes me feel like they don't truly believe in the cause that they are fighting for because if they did they could use conventional ways to talk about it with people to gain acknowledgement and popular support. If they truly believed in there cause they wouldn't cover their faces and take people prisoner, they would do what Michael Moore does and tell the government or people what they are doing wrong. He shows his face and publicizes himself in this way because he believes that what he is doing is right and he is bringing justice. This is the language that should be used to cause change in society not bombing and murdering.
