Cover Up

Today I was considering telling a story about a revolt that happened in Sorbibor where 11 nazis were killed and about 200 prisoners escaped in a coup started by prisoners. While I was researching about a revolt that happened at Sobibor death camp I came across across some interesting information, after several hundred prisoners escaped the germans quickly massacred all of the remaining jew demolished the buildings and planted trees over where the death camp used to be. We are not sure why they did this but in my opinion it was because they knew that the prisoners that had escaped would tell about the prison so they wanted the outside world to think that the prisoners were lying and the actual camp did not exist. As we have talked about in class before if you truly believe what you are doing is right then you can say what it is that you are doing with out trying to disguise or cover it up. This covering up demonstrates that the Nazis had at least an idea that what they were doing is terrible because they did not want the public to know about it. If they thought what they were doing was right they would not have covered up the massacre that happen on Oct 20 1943.
