Armenian and Rwandan Genocide

The Armenian and Rwandan Genocides have many similarities, but they also have differences. Both were completely ignored while they were occurring, but the Armenian Genocide is still ignored. There is a reason that the Armenian Genocide hasn't been truly acknowledged by the world, the fragile alliance with the U.S, but there is no obvious reason that explains why the U.S or any other major power didn't interfered and stop the Rwandan Genocide. The thing that is most surprising to me is that, unlike Turkey, Rwanda is a very small country, with a relatively large population, so the genocide could have been easily stopped. The most shocking thing to me is that, even after the Holocaust, the world was able to turn away and ignore a whole group of people being slaughtered.
